後記

1. 如果想寫一篇嚴謹點的文章查資料的能力絕對是必須的。google雖然好用，可是在專業的領域需要詢問專業人士的意見才不致於在一開始找資料的時候就被資料淹沒，至於各種專門的網站資料與工具若能有圖書館員的協助會方便許多。
2. 工具不一定會有絕對的好壞之分，資料價值可能因人而異，在工具的掌握上還是要自己使用過再逐一選擇會較佳。

Exploring Online Research Method

觀察線上世界的研究，或透過網路進行研究的方法是研究方法中較新的領域。一方面當然是越來越多研究者將研究對象放在網路上的使用者，另一方面也應為跨國際的研究越來越多，在考量時間與成本之餘，透過網路的研究方法就逐漸被發展起來了。

有別於傳統的直接觀察或參與式的研究方法，線上研究法可能只是觀察某個網站中的數據，或是透過資訊工具直接訪談使用者，也有可能觀察的對象只是某個玩家在遊戲世界中的化身。

這當然會引來多關於可信度方面的質疑，而Online Research Method（線上研究方法）就是討論這方面的各項議題，及應對方法。

Informed Consent and the Research Process 研究道德

在進行一項研究時，常常會遇到一些道德性問題，例如社會研究面對觀察對象時的個人隱私權問題，生物科技在進行活體實驗的動物權問題..等。這些問題如果在研究過程中忽略了，很可能在之後發表時遇到很大的爭議，或是抨擊。

因此，在過程中研究者最好能謹慎面對這些問題，並留下相關獲得參與者許可同意發表的文件。處理好這個部份絕對是利人利己的行為，不僅表示研究者對於研究的嚴僅度也能取得參與者的信任。

Observation task

即使是同樣的事情，不同的人還是常常會有不一樣的觀點。

雖然感覺是簡單的認知，但這點常常需要其他人的幫助，不太容易自己發現。

看到書上(Observation Research)提到的"see the familiar as strange"，看起來簡單，其實做起來還挺具挑戰性的。

不過如果這時在你身旁和你一起觀察的是個和你很不同的人，這件事就會出奇的簡單，還常常能提供很多想不到的樂趣。


Observation task

Part 1
Organise a small group (max 4 people).
Choose a place
Observe what happens for at least 15 minutes.
Record your observations.
Compare notes in the group on what you ‘saw’.

Part 2
Each group member: post your individual reflections on the observation process
As a group: think of two points you can raise in the session.
